Gil YuvalCo-founder, Director and Synerion Group Chairman
After completing his studies and gaining professional experience, Gil Yuval partnered with Eli Avni, Synerion’s Joint Managing Director, to co-found Lavie Computers in 1983. The company, which was among the early pioneers in WFM solutions worldwide, provided work hours and attendance analysis.
In the early years of the company, Gil served as its Business Development Manager and was responsible for the company’s entry into international markets. Since 2007, Gil was Synerion’s joint Managing Director, responsible for business development and worldwide marketing. Between 2012 – 2015 he was the company’s Managing Director and is now the Chairman of the Synerion Group.
Gil holds a B.Sc. degree in Mathematics and Operations Research.
Eli AvniCo-founder, Director & CTO
After completing his studies and acquiring professional experience, Eli partnered with Gil Yuval, now Synerion’s Managing Director, to co-found Lavie Computers in 1983. Lavie Computers, among the early pioneers worldwide in workforce management solutions, provided analysis of work hours and attendance.
With professional experience in software development, Eli served as Synerion’s Product Development Manager for several years and was responsible for the development of its Workforce Management solutions. Between 2007 – 2012 he was the company’s Managing Director and is now a Director & its CTO.
Eli holds a B.Sc. degree in Mathematics, Statistics and Computer Science.
Paolo GilfillanVice President of Sales & Marketing
Paolo Gilfillan has been a crucial member of the Synerion team since 2005. Paolo held various account and sales positions, contributing to his extensive knowledge of the workforce management industry. As an active member of OACETT and a former member of IEEE he brings a unique combination of technical expertise mixed with sales and marketing experience and education. Paolo is responsible for managing the national sales team, and the development and execution of all North American sales and marketing initiatives.
Paolo is on the advisory board for the Canadian Masters in HR Strategy.
Paolo holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Technical Business Management and a diploma in Computer Engineering Technology.
Norm MacFarlaneVice President of Professional Services
Norm MacFarlane joined Synerion in 2009 as Vice President of Professional Services. Norm oversees all implementation and professional services/support activities in the North American market.Prior to joining Synerion, Norm held various senior management positions with multiple workforce management firms. With over 20 years of professional service experience in Payroll, Human Resource & Workforce Management Solutions, the knowledge and experience gained has made Norm a seasoned professional within the industry.
Lee LipesVice President of Product Management
As Vice President of Product Management at Synerion, Lee Lipes is responsible for overseeing the company’s global product portfolio and driving business strategy. Mr. Lipes brings more than 18 years of experience in similar roles in technology companies. Most recently, Lee led the product management and strategy for RuggedCom’s wireless product lines. In 2012, RuggedCom was acquired by Siemens. Previously, Lee held senior product management and business development roles at several high profile technology companies including Redline Communications, Unique Broadband Systems, Innovance Networks and Nortel Networks.
